Privacy Notice
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This notice explains what personal information we collect on this page, why we collect it, who we share it with and what choices you have. It covers only this page. Our corporate website and any signed client engagement are covered by their own arrangements.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Mente Rica Limited (registration number RC 1734124) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We trade as Mente Rica and operate this page as Mente Rica Diaspora Oversight.
- Registered address: 35 Yesufu Sanusi Street, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria
- Email: hello@mentericaglobal.com
- Telephone and WhatsApp: +234 707 921 7859
We have not appointed a data protection officer or an overseas representative. Privacy questions are handled by the address above.
2. Who and where this notice covers
This page is aimed at people living outside Nigeria who own or are responsible for a business or project in Nigeria, mainly in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and Nigerians in the wider diaspora. We process information in Nigeria and, where it applies to you and to the processing, we take account of privacy requirements in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States as well as the Nigeria Data Protection Act. We do not claim universal compliance, certification or legal approval in any country.
3. Information you give us
Through the assessment enquiry form we ask for:
- Your full name, email address, WhatsApp number with country code and country of residence.
- The type of support you need.
- The location in Nigeria, industry or project type, and current stage of the business or project.
- An estimated revenue or project value range (optional).
- A description of your main concern or challenge.
- Your preferred contact method, preferred contact time (optional) and time zone (optional).
- Your confirmation that we may contact you about the enquiry, and your acknowledgement of this notice.
Through the consultation booking step we ask for:
- Your full name, email address, country of residence and the type of support you need.
- Your WhatsApp number, time zone and any notes about the call (all optional).
- Your confirmation that we may contact you about the booking, and your acknowledgement of this notice.
We ask you not to include passwords, banking credentials, identity-document numbers or other highly sensitive information in any free-text field. We do not ask for payment details on this page.
4. Information collected automatically
- Standard technical request data needed to serve the page and keep it available, such as IP address, browser type and time of request, held in our hosting provider's operational and security logs.
- A short one-way fingerprint created from your IP address and browser identifier when you submit a form. It is used only to limit repeated or automated submissions and cannot be read back to reveal your IP address.
- Your cookie choice, stored in your own browser. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
- Measurement or analytics data only if you accept measurement cookies. No measurement or advertising tool is currently switched on for this page, and none will load before you consent.
5. Why we use your information and on what basis
Where United Kingdom or European-style data protection law applies to you, the lawful bases we rely on are shown in brackets. Where Nigerian, Canadian or United States law applies, the equivalent basis is your consent or our legitimate business need to respond to your request.
- To read, assess and reply to your enquiry, and to prepare for and hold a consultation (performance of steps taken at your request before any contract, and your consent given on the form).
- To send you an acknowledgement of your enquiry and internal notifications to our team, and to manage confirmations, cancellations and reschedules of consultations (same bases; these are transactional messages, not marketing).
- To keep the page available, prevent spam and abuse, and maintain security logs (our legitimate interests in operating a secure service).
- To keep records of enquiries, bookings and consents (our legitimate interests and, where relevant, legal record-keeping obligations).
- To measure how the page is used, only if you accept measurement cookies (your consent, which you may withdraw at any time).
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not add enquiry or booking contacts to any marketing list. We do not currently send marketing email from this page.
6. How enquiries and bookings are handled
- Enquiry: your answers are validated, saved to our secure database and reviewed by our team, which then replies to you by your preferred contact method.
- Booking, step one: your details are saved to our database before the calendar appears, so you do not have to retype them.
- Booking, step two: the calendar is provided by Calendly. Your name, email address and a booking reference are passed to Calendly so the slot is prefilled and matched to your record.
- Confirmation: Calendly sends the official meeting confirmation and invitation. Calendly also notifies us securely so we can record the scheduled time, time zone, event type and meeting link against your booking.
- Reschedule or cancellation: when you change or cancel through Calendly, the same record is updated with the new time or the cancellation, and our team is notified internally.
Internal notifications to our team contain the details needed to prepare, and we do not repeat your confidential notes or sensitive enquiry details in the acknowledgement email we send to you.
7. Service providers who process information for us
- Lovable (Lovable Labs) — application hosting, the managed database that stores enquiries and bookings, server-side processing and transactional email delivery for this page.
- Calendly — consultation scheduling, calendar invitations, meeting links and booking notifications.
- Zoho — our business email service, which hosts the hello@mentericaglobal.com mailbox that receives your enquiry, our internal notifications and your replies.
- Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) — measurement only, and only if we switch measurement on and you accept measurement cookies. Neither is active today.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or to obtain professional advice, or to protect our rights.
8. International transfers
We are based in Nigeria and our providers named above operate outside your country, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. This means information you give us will be transferred across borders. Where required, we rely on the provider's contractual data protection terms, including standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by that provider, together with your consent to contact you. If you would like more detail about the safeguards for a specific provider, write to us at hello@mentericaglobal.com.
9. How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Consultation bookings, including scheduled times, reschedules and cancellations: kept for up to 24 months after the consultation date, then deleted.
- Records of enquiries or bookings that lead to a signed engagement: transferred to the client file and kept for as long as the engagement lasts and afterwards for the period required by applicable Nigerian business and tax record-keeping rules.
- Spam-prevention fingerprints: kept for a short operational period only and then removed.
- Hosting and security logs: kept for the limited period set by our hosting provider's standard retention.
- Your cookie choice: kept in your browser until you clear it or change it through the footer link.
10. Security
Information you submit travels over an encrypted connection and is stored in a managed database that is not open to public reading. Access is limited to the people at Mente Rica who need it for your enquiry, using individual accounts. Internal notifications and incoming enquiries are received in our business mailbox rather than a shared personal address. We keep the amount of information we collect small on purpose. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not make claims of certification or absolute security. See our Security and Confidentiality page for what this means in practice.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or to withdraw a consent you have given. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. You can also object to receiving further contact from us at any time.
12. How to make a privacy request or complaint
Email hello@mentericaglobal.com with the words "Privacy request" in the subject line and tell us what you would like us to do. We will reply within one month and will ask you to confirm your identity before we release or delete information.
If you are unhappy with our response, please tell us first so we can put it right. You may also complain to the privacy regulator for your country, which for Nigeria is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. If you live in the United Kingdom, Canada or the United States, your national or state privacy authority may also be able to help.
13. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. Every enquiry and booking is read and assessed by a person. The only automated checks are technical spam limits on form submissions, which do not make decisions about you.
14. Children
This page is intended for business owners and decision makers aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and publish the new version here. Where a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will contact you by email before it takes effect.
